A trip to Qatar isn’t complete without a visit to the inland sea. Lying about 100km south of Doha, the last 30km of the trip are off road, across the sand dunes. Only go with experienced off-road drivers or you could end up stuck, lost or both. Both on the way and once you get there the scenery is stunning.
Khawr al Udayd, also spelled Khor al Adaid and Khor al-‘Udeid) is a settlement and inlet of the Persian Gulf located in Al Wakrah Municipality in southeast Qatar, on the border with Saudi Arabia. It is known to local English speakers as the “Inland Sea”. it is a major tourist destination for Qatar.
